Summary:
Training and retraining have an important role in enhancing capacities of cadres and civil servants in general and Vietnam Women’s Union staff at all levels in particular. However, the effectiveness of training and retraining depends on many factors, including learner’s training needs. Based on the survey data of ministry-level research “The leadership and management capacities of Women’s Union staff at provincial and district levels: current situation and influencing factors” conducted by Vietnam Women’s Academy in 2020, this article analyzes the training needs to enhance leadership and management capacities of Vietnam Women’s Union staff at provincial and district level; then suggests some recommendations for cadres training at the Vietnam Women’s Academy.
