Summary: 
The economic development of a country is always associated with social issues. A developed economywill meet all the needs of society, conversely, a stable society will promotesustainable economicdevelopment. Instead of propagating information dogmatically, nowadays, organizations have followed the way of marketing that is understanding the needs of the target audience first, then building relevant programs. This article focuses on clarifying the basis of applying social marketing theories to solve social problems. In addition, the article provides an overview of social marketing as a reference and inspiration for new research directions in this field.
