Summary:
The results of practical research on the emotional intelligence of 1,036 students at Nguyen Hue - Bac Tu Liem high school (Hanoi) show that the emotional intelligence of most students reaches average and high levels, consistent with age development. Students’ emotional intelligence is expressed differently in various aspects. Although there are no differences in emotional intelligence among students when considered by grade level, there are differences when considered by gender, family economic conditions, and level of participation in dynamic activities. Students often use positive moods to overcome obstacles and challenges in life, demonstrating high flexibility and coping ability. However, they still encounter difficulties such as understanding nonverbal signals and expressing their emotions. These are areas that require attention to support children in facing these challenges promptly
