Madame Nguyen Ti Dinh - the frst female Major General of the Vietnam People’s Army, is a Vietnamese female politician. She made many victories during the war, afer the liberation of Southern Vietnam. She was the former President of the Vietnam Women’s Union and held many important positions in the Party and state. Te study “Digital illustrations in children’s comic books about General Nguyen Ti Dinh” was carried out using digital illustration, in order to create an applied comic product to convey the revolutionary tradition, national spirit, and broaden the young generations understanding about her life, the “heroic, indomitable, loyal, courageous” woman. Te main research methodologies used are the artistic method, secondary document research, observation, in-depth interviews, and of Madame Nguyen Ti Dinh. Te research applied those methodologies to the creation of a children’s comic product called “Legend of the female general Nguyen Ti Dinh, including Part 1: Te woman crossed the sea”, followed by the meaning and value of applied products - children’s comics about the female general Nguyen Ti Dinh.
