Summary:
In recent years, there are many positive changes in promoting the female
participation in politics in localities in general and in Quang Binh province in particular.
Creating favorable conditions for the local female to participate in politices is contributing
toward the promotion of women’s political power, the effective implementation of the Party’s
guidelines and lines and the State’s policies and laws on socio-economic development in general
and equal rights related to women in particular. Despite the above positive results, this work
still has some certain limitations, not meeting the demands and tasks in the new situation.Te
proportion of female cadres who are leaders or managers at all levels in the province is still not
suitable with the force and potential of women. Te distribution of positions for female cadres in
the organizational structure is uneuqal. Te number of female leaders in the state management
sector is still small, mainly at the deputy level in Party agencies, mass organizations and sociocultural felds... Te percentage of female cadres participating in the party commitee, holding
leadership and managerial positions at all levels are still low... Tis study focuses on assessing the
status of women’s political performance in general and in Quang Binh province in the past time
in particular in order to clearly indicate the achieved results, shortcomings, limitations and causes
fom a practical perspective in the locality. Ten, this study proposes synchronous solutions to
contribute to the policy fnalization and the improvement of female political role in Quang Binh
province in particular and localities in the country in general. With these aims, it contributes
to the realization of the gender equality goals of the Party and the State as well as the socioeconomic development goals of the country in the new period
